The Generator Self-test Verifier (GSV) was invented to fill a need, specifically: what tells an owner if his standby generator performed the auto start exercise as programmed and if it passed.  If you invest money into a generator, you want the peace of mind to know that it will operate perfectly when the power does go out.  There are two different models available: The GSV300, and the simpler GSV200.
